i like playing melee in mmos, but in rpgs like dragon age i tend to pick something ranged, because i run into a big huge mess of stuff and aggro ALL THE THINGS and suddenly i'm dead.
for the most part i like mages because support can be fun, especially when it's support-while-annihilating, but i really took a liking to bows through inquisition O:

Warrior, because then I can just scream at my screen and hit things until they die. Usually sword and shield instead of 2H though.

Rogue trash hell-- I am an Archer for life but I did start playing Mage which is sorta decent but seems a lot cooler in DA2 than it ever was in DA:I.

Most of my characters are Mages after DA O, but originally I played rogues like crazy in the first game.
I could never really play Warriors, idk they didn't have the same spark as the other two.

I usually default as rogue archer just for the aesthetic but end up switching to warrior characters or Iron Bull when it comes to bigger fights(and bears) just because it feels like it deals more damage ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Double-dagger rogue double-dagger rogue and I frankly adore the assassin spec in Inquisition. Hidden Blades yes please sign me the fuck up etc etc that whole meme.
But also mage? AOE spells, yespls. So satisfying to drop a big spell on a cluster of enemies and watch them drop like flies.

Magic users tend to be my go-to class in video games anyway, since I also do tabletop RPs and it's just such a nice change of pace when the game does all the math/dice rolls for me and I can focus on the fun stuff. That said, not a fan of how Inquisition gutted the magic schools and made my absolute favorite spell (Walking Bomb) a Necromancer specialization exclusive. So much for my plan of going Knight Inquisitor, welp.
Storywise, I prefer rogues to warriors, but for some reason I can't stand the aesthetic of dual wielding? So I'm split pretty evenly on the other classes, when I decide to take a break from mages.

Warrior trash, usually. I say usually, because DA2's mage was super fun to play, and Inquisition's Rogue was amazing.
