Denise is a generally friendly and approachable person, although she also has been known to be unfavorable company whilst attending major social events. As much as she may take issue with her upbringing and the people she was surrounded by, she cannot deny that she has learned the rules of the Game and instinctively plays along. Even so, when her trust has been earned she becomes a reliable companion.
Often times, when wronged, she becomes vengeful. Holding grudges is nothing new to her, and she will be subtle in the ways she begins attempting to unravel the doings of whomever has hurt her.
HISTORY:
Born into a lesser known noble family in Val Royeaux, Denise was the first of two children. That also resulted in many pressures being set on her to do well and succeed often. She had done all she could to keep her parents pleased, but as her younger brother aged, Deni was all-too aware that his successes far outnumbered her own.
Despite the two of them being close, she often sat in silent envy whenever their parents were around. Deni began spending more and more time away from them, and even when she was around she was doing more to leave them displeased. They wanted a prim and proper daughter that could marry up, but instead she discovered archery and would run off at every opportunity to practice. When she felt she was doing well with that, Deni eagerly ran off to show her parents. To see their child take part in something so unladylike made them livid, and instead of the praise she sought she was punished.
At sixteen, she was promised to a man she’d never met. She couldn’t even recall his name. Much to the dismay of Lord and Lady Chalon, Denise refused to acknowledge the engagement. She spent much of her time flirting with men, though her parents seemed to do a good job keeping that hidden to avoid injuring their reputation.
When the Conclave was announced, Denise had expected to be going; instead, only Horace was attending. She grew bitter regarding that decision and her parents in general. When they learned of what happened, Deni was, while simultaneously grieving, relieved that she hadn’t been there. Her parents had regretted the decision openly, however.
To make ammends, they had her sent to the Inquisition. “To rectify a problem that has caused so many much pain,” they had said, but Deni knew it had primarily been so that they could grieve their favored child without the hassle of having her around.
Even so, she has decided to make the most of her time among the Inquisition’s forces. Her hope is to find purpose with them; enough purpose to never return home.

Overall thin and lithe, however she has upper body strength that is easily noticed in her arms, as well as her back when exposed. She sticks out among the other nobles more often than not because of this, but it is not something that she would trade as it's necessary to prove useful outside of social gatherings. Her hair is a white-blonde shade, and when free rests just slightly above her hips. Normally it is held up somehow, be it an elaborate braid or bun. Both eyes are a medium brown - nothing particularly striking about them - and her skin is quite fair, as is often expected of nobility.
