Potichauna is a 33 year old chosen of the Lady of the Donnarks. She was asked by the lady to leave the rainforest as her agent of sorts in order to adress the threat of the breach.
Depending on the timeframe of our RP she may or MAY NOT know the common tongue. She is rather quick at learning languages however.
As being a chosen implies she is a mage. Her magic is diferant from any other type on Thedas however.

Above the barren wastelands of the Anderfels lies one of the most fertile areas of Thedas. The blights that have started in the Anderfels have left this haven of green untouched, instead traveling southwards to try to strike the rest of Thedas. Expeditions into this seeming paradise never return.
Welcome to the Donnarks
The Donnarks are a vast tropical rainforest. At it’s heart is a sacred mountain that serves as a temple to the goddess of the Donnarks. Known by her people as “The Lady of the Donnarks” Much of the culture and unique magic of this place and its people is tied to her
Simply put the lady is not an absentee deity like many of the other gods of Thedas, but a living breathing embodiment of the rainforest. She is tied to the land and the land is tied to her. Killing or injuring a live tree is considered a monumentus crime because you are hurting the lady and it is she who protects. This magical protection is so great that, when blights have attacked, the lady has been able to use her power to fight back and keep the forest free of taint.
Magic in the Donnarks is considered “The Gift of the Lady” and mages in the Donnarks come in two forms. Each Tribe has a shaman and that shaman can have one or many apprentices as that tribe’s customs dictate.
There are also the Lady’s Chosen
The lady’s chosen forsake their bonds with any home tribe. They learn special plant magic and are tasked with healing and protecting the plant life of the Donnarks. They train their skills in, and tend to, certain sacred groves and gardens before undergoing some sort of ritual or ordeal in the sacred mountain at the heart of the rainforest. Then they go where the lady wills them. They do so for the rest of their life Donarks her and the Rainforest.
Physiology and Language
People of the Donnarks have medium skin, dark hair, broadish flat noses and dark eyes. However they also have some more unusual traits. Their incisors are slightly pointed, their seeing eye vision is better than the average human with their eyes glowing slightly and their ears are often ever so slightly pointed. This hints at a decent amount of elven interbreeding. A close look at their language seems to validate this.
The language of the Donnarks does not share a language family with any known language in Thedas and includes sounds not often heard in other languages such as clicking, trilling, or whistling. However a student of linguistics might recognise a few ancient tevinter and anderfell roots. And more ancient elven roots then the other two put together. However even someone like Solas who is fluent in ancient elven would only be able to pick out possible a root from a word every other sentence at best.
Law and Custom
There are two types of rule in the Donnarks and the words for them can most closely be translated to “Law” and “Custom”
“Law” Is the domain of the Lady. The Lady’s commandments as it where. All Tribes must and do obey these laws.
One of the most interesting is the ban on hurting plant life. What counts as “hurting” plant life is of course complex.
Walking on plants is alright though if it would hurt a plant should be avoided. Cutting down a tree is absolutely forbidden. As such wood is one of the most precious materials.
Trees can be coaxed into desired shapes however to make structures.
Plucking fruit is considered fine.
Plucking leaves is alright but should be done in moderation
“Custom” varies from tribe to tribe and basically covers the additional laws inside that tribe
MAGIC OF THE CHOSEN
The unique magic of the chosen revolves around plants. They can heal sick plants and make plants grow at a rapid pace. Chosen often carry around sees with them that they can throw and make burst into growth. When they seed they choose is poisonous or has deadly thorns the effects can be devastating.
